How do we proceed with booking?
Please send me a message through the contact button below, and I will respond via email within 24 hours. I would love to have a video conference or phone call with you to learn more about your plans. Final steps include contract review, signing and confirming your booking with the 25% retainer fee. This deposit ensures that the photographer is committed to the day.
Will there be a second shooter?
I highly suggest you have two photographers for full-day coverage; you will be happy that you did! If you wish to have both preps covered (even if you both will be at the same location), it is in your best interest to get a wedding package with second photo coverage. The second photographer also captures creative portraits, candids and details that the primary photographer may not have time to get throughout your wedding. It truly makes all the difference with your final gallery!
Do you design wedding albums?
Designing wedding albums is one of my favorite parts of the job! It is nice to see the wedding day summarized in a tangible book that can be cherished in the home forever. Maybe I am old-school, but albums will always be a great addition in my eyes. I offer various design options and parent albums with your wedding book!
For engagement sessions or family portraits, what if a location requires a permit?
Some special parks and locations require an appointment or permission prior to the day of your session. Please contact the location's administrative office to complete their permit process and pay the fee prior to your session. Failure to have a permit for a location could ruin a planned session after you both got all dolled-up!
Do you shoot engagement sessions?
All wedding bookings include an engagement session! The session is for up to 2 hours and you are welcome to bring your children or pets! The engagement session is the best way to get to know each other prior to the wedding day. You can observe the photographer's style of directing you, while the photographer can learn your vibe as a couple. Please note that some locations require permits, which are typically completed by the couple with the location's administrative office prior to the session. Sessions can be rescheduled due to weather.
How many photos would we get for our wedding?
Every wedding celebration is different in size, time-frame, and expectations. In my experience, the average amount of wedding photos ranges between 800 - 1000 photos. This is involving a 10 hour day (full-day coverage), with two photographers. I do typically include some black & white duplicates as well.
Do you bring an assistant?
Most weddings require an assistant for various reasons, such as assisting with off-camera lighting, carrying photo gear, helping the bride with her dress and so much more. Small celebrations or micro-weddings (50 people or less) typically do not require an assistant.
How would you describe your style?
I love this question, but it did take me some time to define my style. I consider myself to be a versatile and adaptable photographer. Some environments require off-camera lighting, while in other places, natural light works beautifully. After shooting weddings for over 8 years full-time, I am comfortable with assessing any environment and achieving the best results. I am a social and friendly photographer, but I will give you the direction that you desire for your wedding or photo session.
